Bam La Defense Contoured Violin Case

The shell of this case is made from three premium materials exclusively formulated by Bam: ABS, Airex foam, and another type of ABS.

This technique of combining materials creates a strong level of protection, making the case more durable and temperature-resistant than most hardshell cases (even carbon fiber cases, which heat up faster).

Important note:  The aluminum shell is just the look of the case. It features an aluminum layer on top of the Hightech shells. This is not a metallic case, so you don’t have to worry about it absorbing heat.

Weighing only 3.5 lb., this case exceeds our standard for lightweight cases, which are typically below 5 lb.

This really showcases Bam’s incredible engineering feat of reducing the weight of a violin case to that of a laptop, without sacrificing protection or durability.

In addition to its durable shell, the case features an injected foam suspension system that cushions your instrument. Unlike cases with hard foam interiors, this case’s padding feels like a Tempur-Pedic mattress for your violin.

The paddings are strategically placed so if you drop the case, the paddings absorb the impact, not your violin.

The case includes a removable accessories pouch, perfect for storing essentials like cleaning cloths, rosin, polishes, and other small items. It allows you to conveniently carry these items with you to your music stand.

The case comes with 2 water-resistant, padded neoprene backpack straps.

A unique feature of this case is the placement of the D-rings along the sides rather than the back. This design creates more space between the shoulders when carried like a backpack, making it more comfortable. 

Most importantly, it avoids the discomfort of the traditional upside-down V-shape design, where straps converge to a single D-ring behind your neck.
